3 Country Park Section(R3CPS) designed and built
to link together the northwestern part of the
New Territories and the urban areas, but it also
helps alleviate traffic congestions occur so often
on Tuen Mun Road and Tolo Highway, foster further
development of cross-boundary traffic and provide
a cleaner, healthier and safer environment for
commuters. |

congestion in the New Territories: With a capacity
of 140,000 vehicles daily, R3CPS has ample capacity
to cater for urban-N.T. traffic. Thus easing congestions
that occur so often on Tuen Mun Road and Tolo
Highway. |

cross-boundary traffic: R3CPS is well connected to Lok
Ma Chau, Sha Tau Kok and Man Kam To in the north and
Kwai Chung container terminals and the Airport in the
south. It plays an essential role in supporting Hong

development of the logistics industry and cross-boundary
tourism.
